This is my first attempt at macro, this camera is a Canon 1100IS point and shoot, I read online tips from other users and got more there than the manual.... go figure.
Great bubbles..and I love the marbles..well done! If you move your lends to the right or to the left you will be able to get rid of the little circles of light. Practice!! I have a Cannon also ..a SX110IS..it works well for my purposes and doesn't have so many features that all confuse me:)
Thank you for the feedback, I would like more clarity on the bubbles myself. The camera is an A1100IS, I also wanted a video feature so thats why I picked it and it fit my budget. I'm experimenting with blurring out the background for shallow depth of field effect, there are workarounds to force the camera focus using the auto settings and combinations of face detection and focus.
I used to have a 35mm Canon AE1, I LOVED that camera it simply could not take a bad picture, I had a telephoto lens and shorter everyday lens and manual focus..... sigh. I sold it a few years ago while I still could. I'm an analog gal in a digital world.
Great shots! I don't know if you use one, but a tabletop tripod and the timer will also take the rest of the blur. Aslo try manual and an F-spot of 3:5 for that shallow DOF you are looking for. :-))
